Tour the Settlements and Monasteries of the Tibetan Buddhists living in Himachal Pradesh, India
|

land rover type vehicles driven by two very nice Tibetan drivers who speak great English. They will be at the airport
to pick you up and will return you to the airport when you leave. There will also be two English speaking Tibetan
guides. One of them is a monk who can assist us with our Monastery etiquette. I too will be there every step of the
way. We have booked all of our nights in either Tibetan guest houses. All of our meals will be cooked by Tibetans
except for the two Indian lunches in Chandigar (as we have no choice), and our Dinner party. We have eaten in the
restaurant in Chandigar many times and the first class restaurant we picked for the dinner party we have also
frequented many times. Our goal is to take care of you and your needs. There are many obstacles to keep you from
enjoying your time in India and we have removed everyone we could. Our one price includes all, which means
everything except your personal care products, small donations at the Monasteries and shopping. You will be
presented with a Tibetan bag upon arrival that will be filled with necessities. We will provide you with all the bottled
water you can drink, all the food you can eat, and all the assistance you want. All entrances into the museums, etc,
khatas for the lamas and everything else for the tour is included in one price. Our guides can assist you in your
shopping and anytime you want to venture out and wish a guide, just ask and someone will be happy to go with you.
If we hear of any special events; an enthronement, play, lama dance or any special cultural or religious event, we will
alter the iteniery so we all may attend. So many times we have accidentally come across events we will never forget.
We have put a lot of planning and thought into this tour to make it a wonderful experience for you. There is much
more. Please call us for more information or if you have any questions.
Come and visit the Tibetans in the beautiful state of Himachal Pradesh. The peacefulness of
Himachal and its friendly people has a gradual calming effect. Our first stop is Tso Pema
(Lotus Lake) named after Padmasambava. There is a wonderful story as to how the lake was
formed. For nine days we will travel along the majestic Dhauladhar Mountains (the snow
peaked foothills of the Himalayas) touring settlements of Tibetans in exile and visiting more
than a dozen Monasteries. Our last stop in Himachal will be Dharamsala (Mcleod Gange),
home to the Dalai Lama and a huge Tibetan Settlement. We will keep you busy, but there
will be time to relax and reflect. Rest your body and mind while we tend to your needs and
guide you into the culture and religion of the Tibetan people. Take a journey you will
remember forever.
